Stakeout and Weekend at Bernie´s resemblance

Just thought Men at work borrowed a little too much from Stakeout, a film also with Emilio Estevez. And of course Weekend at Bernie´s too. I found it a little annoying.

Strange thing to say, considering the script existed back in 1985 before either of those 2 were made. Source: New York Magazine June 1985.
