Thank God for Subtitles

For years I watched this movie on VHS and could never understand what the Jamaicans were saying.

I agree totally. Tried to watch it last night w/o the subtitles and could only make out about every 3rd-4th word that all of the Jamaican's were saying. You'd think they could 'Americanize' the accents some for hte audiences.

Also, I thought that 90% of the Jamaicans looked alike. Every single one had dreadlocks, which is not the case in Jamaica.

On the plus side, the actor playing Screwface made an excellent crazy bad guy!

I agree totally with these posts! All you can understand without the subitiles is "blood clot" XD

"You'd think they could 'Americanize' the accents some for hte (sic)audiences."

The only audiences that would need it 'Americanized' are American ones. Americans are the worst at not understanding accents other than their own. Most of the rest of the English-speaking world probably made do.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings.
