i have the complete soundtrack, what would it be worth to you?

reply

Hi, just joined and have been looking for the soundtrack, especially the song, "John Crow". It apparently was written just for the movie as it is not on ANY of Jimmy Cliff's albums.
It would be worth a lot to me but I don't have a lot right now. If you still have it, what would be your asking price?
Thanks

I, like most others, absolutely LOVE "John Crow", but I'm wondering if you or anybody out there would have the lyrics

If you do a Google search, type in "Lyrics for Jimmy Cliff's song, John Crow", and the page will display with the lyrics and added info.

I would love to have in my possion that reggae song played when Hatcher and his friend were at that jamaican discotheque, with the girl in that white mini-dress dancing to it.

It went something like:

"Jacob will lead the children astray....."

The song is called
John Crow - Jimmy Cliff sings it.

It's never been released in its complete form at all. So no one really has it. I wish a label like Intrada or Verase Sarabande would release it though as I think James Newton Howard did a pretty cool score for it, especially for the quieter emotional scenes.

i'm looking for the song that plays at the very beginning but does not appear on the soundtrack

Thanks for letting me know about the author of that song, I guess I will have to rip-off the audio from the movie using a special program, AudaCity here you come!!
