I read an old article (need to find the link) of a gory scene from the book that was surprisingly filmed for the miniseries but didn't make it into the final cut. It involved Georgie and the moment when Pennywise ripped his arm clean off. Given that it was network TV and the 90's, I'm shocked this was even considered and filmed. I'm hoping there's a chance we can see this in an upcoming blu ray release. Anyone else hear about this?

I re-read the article and Tim Curry says "one of my most evil scenes involves ripping the arm off a young boy." I think I misunderstood and assumed they actually filmed it.

shareThe movie never showed anything like that. I'm currently reading the book and this happens in the book. The movie does show Georgie reaching down with his arm and he screams but that's it.
