One thing that is strongly focused on in the film is Dennis Peck's seeming obsession with sex and his sexual activity. Apart from the obvious reasons about him lying to Avilla about his wife's infidelity, why does he *beep* the wives of both Van Stretch and Steven Arrocas, especially the latter, seeing as he served the guy's purpose by executing his parents. Whats the point of this? Was there some ulterior reason
Peck likes to exercise whatever power he has over others, which include sexual coercion. He gets a thrill out of making Raymond and others suffer, just like he gets a thrill out of sex. Didn't he have 4 wives and 8 children? And, like u mentioned, he had sex with Penny (Van Stretch's wife) and Steven's wife. He also tried to, or wanted to, take advantage of Raymond's wife, and he obviously had sexual relations with the black prostitute...
He concentrated on his own happiness, and the torture of others...that's just how heartless he was...
"U find me offensive, I find u offensive for finding me offensive" Em
yes definitely...could u think of other reasons why he would do those things? he liked to exercise his power and he enjoyed getting away with it because he was a cop...
Maybe he liked the thrill of simply getting away with those things rather than actually doing them...
