According to this news story on the IMDB, http://www.imdb.com/news/ni0182232/, this movie was re-made into the oscar-winning movie, The Departed. Who knew? Isn't it a little too early for a remake?

shareYeah Infernal Affairs (not Internal Affairs) is a superb Hong Kong made Cantonese language film; far superior to "The Departed" remake by the way. The original Cantonese name was "Mou gaan dou" which means "The Road to Hell". People who haven't seen the film often seem to get the english name confused and miss the play on words in the title which is referring both to an "Internal Affairs" type investigations and loosely to the original Cantonese title (infernal of course referring to hell).

shareAgreed JusticeAndSoda. INFERNAL Affairs is an excellent film! Definitely worth seeing, if only to compare to Scorsese's Departed.

This is a very good film worth multiple viewings. The Departed, like No Country for Old Men, is worth 50 viewings.
