This movie was a total sausage fest...

Think about it.

Thats not a bad thing at all. This is one of my favorite films, the other favorite being John Carpenters. " The Thing". Another film with no women at all. A total classic, no women needed.

reply

12 Angry Men and The Great Escape had no women. They were excellent. As was this film. Do you have a point here?

reply

Oh come on, we had a good ten seconds of Beverly Crusher from Star Trek! And another ten or more of that Flight Attendant! What more could you want?

Sub films always are, and they even take place within a giant black sea phallus. The Hunt for Red Cocktober is no different.

If they made this today Jack Ryan's wife would take up half the movie.

reply

If they made it today Ryan's wife would be a man - a weak, needy man - and Ryan would be a strong, independent woman.

reply

Apparently you've already been giving it a lot of thought.

Perhaps the OP just wants to reach out for some sense of community.

I hate the sound of that term. Yuck!

You mean a torpedo fest.

reply

And another thing. Most women don't like submarine movies, because they are long and hard and full of seamen.

reply

Mojo? Goldmember? Bad dentist? ;-D

reply

It's one of my favorite films and I am a woman. Must everything be so politically correct?

Hmmm, how to make a torpedo..more feminine? ...I'm out! Ideas? Anyone?

reply

No need - the sea represents a huge, wet vagina. Think about it.
