it's only available in germany (called M.A.R.K.13) though you can't buy horror through the german webstores. I've tried to find it in 'normal' stores in Germany though I found nothing and they weren't able to order it either.

Can get it on EBAY, however it is in german, but if you speak a bit you can select the English Soundtrack.

Why is a quite good british scifi/horror movie not available in its "mother country" ?

"very annoying but with Hardware I can't imagine why the director back then didn't get it distributed enough or even today do a special collector's edition dvd of it."

the director has just finish releasing the movie he made after Hardware (dust devil) in England, germany and a 5 disk SE for r1 so maybe he'll do the same with hardware now (would be cool).

Anyways a friend of mine found me the german dvd for only 9 euro's in some obscure little shop. :D so today notting can go wrong anymore

LOL ! You people make me laugh. You sit at the side of the information superhighway with your thumb out, in the rain, hoping to catch a ride. Unless the new apocalypse has happened and Hardware has become a documentary, I believe E-bay still exists. And for you Americans out there wobbling through cyberspace, trying not to spill your four litre paper cup of diet Pepsi - the German version is region 0. Isn't technology amazing!

When I'm not here I'm listening to DEADPIT.COM , HORROR TALK RADIO !!!

reply

Glad that we amuse you. And it's not a 4 litre paper cup of Pepsi. It's a 32 ounce "Big Gulp" in a plastic cup. If you are going to insult us, at least get the references straight.

I picked up a copy of the region 2 PAL DVD of M.A.R.K. 13 (Red Edition) at an Exhumed Films exhibition in Philadelphia for $15. I believe you can order it through their DVD site, Diabolik DVD, for a decent price.

I picked up the GERMAN RED EDITION Used for 6.99 Euro in the 18 and over section (porno and horror) in a video store in Cologne. Picture quality is a bit fuzzy but very watchable. In English, totally UNCUT! Seeing the x-tra gore for the first time was a revelation!

I only saw the DVDs on Amazon for a ridiculous price of 120.00 so I checked ebay out and bought a DVD for 15 bucks!

"Hardware"

NTSC Format
Region 0 (plays on all DVD players)
Languages: English
4:3 Full Frame
Audio: Dolby Digital

It's even got this really old school cover and they say its rare. I'll find out if it's too good to be true (and a burned copy LOL) when I get it, though the ebay company that is selling it seems legit. They have a bunch of other cult DVDs for sale including some old horror movie called Hell High.
