If I was in charge of doing a directors cut of this movie I would have Shades wake up after a really bad trip and discover the whole last three quarters of the movie had just been a seriously bad reaction to taking acid in a dystopian society.
That movie has warped my fragile little mind.
Oh, god no! I hate it when they pull crap like that. It's lazy, it's a cop-out, and it's a slap in the face to the audience. It doesn't even have any originality value, it's been done too much in the past. In fact, I thought that was going to be the payoff to Mo's 'death trip', and I was glad when it wasn't.
By the way, I wouldn't be shocked if that's how they end Lost...
Also, wouldn't a director's cut be done by the director?
