Beautifully crafted film

This is one of my all time favorite movies....the cast is spectacularly gifted (the three leads have never been better) and the story is tense and unusual, ultimately tragic. And, it is beautifully designed. The whole thing just shows fantastic craftsmanship; the musical score...everything.

Thank you. I think one underlying thing that's good about the film is you're constantly seeing the characters in stressed out situations...they're all survivors in the way they deal with the unfolding problems, but there's no glowy montages of walks on the beach or anything. There's no relief. The story is very LEAN. And that makes the whole thing subtly gripping.

Have you seen HOUSE OF GAMES? That's a very good film that's kind of on the same subject...though different, of course.

The acting in that is SUPREME!! Plus, of course, a meticulously crafted script.
