"Surprize your dead" (faith no more) and slayers "angel of death"pre solo and solo were in this film
..one just before the scientist scene and slayer a little bit later.

I tell ya, whoever decided to put these amazing thrash metal classics in the movie, all I have to say is kudos! There's a reason I really liked this movie as much as the original - and it was all because these two band's amazing thrash songs were featured. Just awesome.

That was really about the only metal in the film, but that was good enough for me.

Only in a Gremlins picture will you get SLAYER, FAITH NO MORE and... The Thompson Twins? Ha ha.

this is my favoret sequle but now knowing that this has slayer in it i love it even more¿

Damn Yankees was featured, which I guess is also in the neighborhood of Metal. Probably weirder than Thompson Twins was all the music ranging from Bach to Tony Randall, Fats Domino and 80s R&B singer Jasmine Guy.

Anyone care to elaborate on which scenes contain these two bands? I'd like to go back and listen harder.

Damn, I was really hoping to find out which scene lLayer was in. =(

EDIT: I didn't take note of the exact moment, but Angel of Death is played somewhere during the final act when the gremlins are going hog wild and the building is in a state of complete anarchy. Probably no more than 20 min from the end credits.

No idea about Faith No More, I don't know their material except for the songs We Care A Lot and the one with the dying fish video.
