Most underrated movie on imdb

3.8? 3.8!!!!???!??!?!!!?!?!?!?! Are you people high? Did you all just go, " Ghost Dad? haha... I remember that movie. I don't remember anything specific, but Bill Cosby's a ghost and he's making a stupid face on the poster so I'll give it a 1..." ?

I recently saw this movie on cable and thought it was hilarious. I loved it & yes...it deserves way more than it's rated.

sorry guys but this movie kills puppies.

Rain 40 days and wash these turds off my life! I pray to you God to kill these people! Free Bird!

I agree this movie is tremendously underrated. Yes, it's cheesy, but there are some real laugh-out-loud moments. Saw it recently, and it was better than I remembered.

reply

Yeah it probably doesn't deserve the low rating that it has, but I still wouldn't give it more than a 5.

reply

Ha I agree. While no means amazing or deep, it's a solid goofy comedy with the Cos Man. Gotta be closer to a 6 in my opinion, but that's just me...

Is this IMDb.com's reason for existence: to foster people's sympathies for trash-cinema that's popularly panned? It seems every horrible picture of the 1980s and '90s dons threads extoling how "great" and "under-rated" it is.

"Ghost Dad" doesn't have 7/10 stars because it's TERRIBLE. It's a bad, bad, bad, bad movie. It's not a cult-classic, it wasn't not ahead of its time, it's not "cute" or "sweet" or clever; it's the devil.

The reason for IMDBs existence is to foster elitist douchebags such as yourself who think their own tastes in movies are the epitomy of class. It's unfortunate that you have nothing better to do than troll the boards of movies you hate. I suppose the reason you're trying to force your unwanted opinion on this movies fans is some abortive attempt to satisfy their own unwarranted sense of superiority. You're like one of those little humping dogs who barks extra loud in order to appear large. However no matter how loud you bark you're still just a runt.

*beep* Make me go out of my way to defend a movie I don't even like. I can't stand would-be cineastes.

What a presumption to make — supposing I believe my taste in films is the epitome of class — based on my voicing my hatred for a piece of trash recorded to celluloid. If I'm trolling boards to bash movies, you're doing much the same to bash people who bash movies, aren't you; or, by the narrow definition of your tiny goldfish-mind, is a troll just anyone but you who happens to have something negative to say?

It's natural for people to log onto a Web site such as this to present their favor or venom for something they've just watched — either side is as entitled as the other to talk. It's mentally-diseased for an ingratiating bag of scum such as you to champion something base and dumb only because it's base and dumb — mock people who like "The Godfather," and nip at those who dare to say something unsavory about garbage like "Ghost Dad": feel like an enlightened hero of the blue-collar Joe. How about you log off IMDb.com, quit whacking it, leave your parents' basement, and go out to get some sun and make a few friends, for about twenty minutes?

I'm at the egde of my seat to read your reply, "Movie_KING."
