The best Henenlotter flick I've seen so far...

I just saw "Frankenhooker" today and have to say that it was at least the best Henenlotter film I've seen so far... and the only one I've seen from start to finish, haha!! I turned "Basket Case" off after half and hour or so and I fell asleep during "Brain Damage"... "Frankenhooker" appeared to be a little better and funnier than the ones mentioned, but all in all it was still quite bad... the best scene for me was the "doctor party" with all the prostitutes... ;) But apart from that, the movie had a good lot of lenghts and could have been quite a bit more bloody and funny... normally I like cheap and stupid horror/splatter flicks pretty much, but somehow Henenlotter never did it for me... :/

You either love him or you hate him, you get him or you don't care, or he's an acquired taste. I don't know. I just like his stuff. But you're right about FRANKENHOOKER being his best. I can almost never turn anyone onto his stuff when I'm recommending a movie called FRANKENHOOKER, though.

After FRANKENHOOKER I'd rank BRAIN DAMAGE, BASKET CASE, BASKET CASE 3, and then BASKET CASE 2 as a Henenlotter best to worst list.

One of the all-time great cult directors - and due for a sick comeback.

Great comment.

I must say, I'm surprised you don't like Basket Case 2. To me, that's Henenlotter's masterpiece.

It's actually his best film. Trailers don't do movies justice.

They were all really great I agree this is a bit better. It's got it all. And Zorrow is the best character out of them all.

Don't be dissing Basket Case. That should've won Oscars.
