the gemini getting his instructions from demon/pazuzu before or after?

Throughout the whole exorcist III movie how was the Gemini interacting with the demon when he was killing the priests etc..? Was he given instructions JUST after Karras fell out the window from the first film, or was he getting it going along as he was killing every new victim throughout part III? How was this interaction with demon/gemini done exactly? Lets forget for now about the last minute tack on exorcism from the studio needed, and just focus on some fun good theories and opinions!

He was getting some information "at the time of issue", as it would seem from the scene where he explains to Kinderman the mechanism of being inserted into Karras' body, in words to the effect, "Karras was lying there, in the dying mode as we say. He wanted out, but I wanted in. So my Master -" here he pauses and looks introspectively upward and then says, "... Is this right?" - and then relates how the demon got his soul from the electric chair into Karras' body. To me this looks like he's consulting "the inward demon" in order to sort out for Kinderman - and maybe even himself - the exact circumstances of his "reincarnation". I think of the demon living inside of Vennamun as a kind of dark reversal of the Holy Spirit dwelling in Jesus - it's always there, available for consultation, and it can inspire, inform and motivate. It can also perform special supernatural feats on the behalf of Vennamun, just as it supposedly did for Jesus.

Same with the killings. Let's not forget that Vennamun is already a serial killer and needs no help from the demon in that department. So he's happy to be set on this new killing spree, the only condition being that his victims' names contain the letter "K" - he says, "I was allowed to insist at least on that small modicum" - which of course perfectly coincides with the demon's vengeance, because all the "K" victims had been involved in one way or another in the exorcism, and thus were already the demon's targets. It's a case of the demon's vengeance and Vennamun's predatory instincts forming a perfect bond. Therefore, I don't think the demon was individually instructing the Gemini/Vennamun for each killing - it was, rather, letting Vennamun "astral travel" in order to acquire which victims would be available (and where-and-when available), as well as which "old friends" were most likely the most vulnerable possession targets. It's a case of the demon's and the Gemini's wills and desires coinciding in a perfect pattern of revenge.

Where the demon comes in is with its supernatural power to multiply-possess "old friends" and possibly, via influencing Temple, even to get Vennamun physically out of his cell.
