Brad Dourif as Damien Karras photo

Looks like an authentic photo of some early, deleted scene...

If you're referring to the photo of him with electrodes on his head while dressed as a priest, then yes, it's from the deleted prologue, the famous scene in which Kinderman inspects Damien's body right after his death and the Gemini's soul is arriving to the party...

Loved how they captured Brad sharing his thoughts on "The Heretic" ("it's the biggest piece of s***"). That alone is worth buying the Blu-Ray.

And worth mentioning that the deleted prologue is a special feature and was not used in the Director's Cut.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

Why do you think the prologue was left out of the Director's Cut?

It was probably due to some mundane, technical reason, but "I'm padding the job", so I'll try to come up with an alternative answer. The scene functions primarily to show that Brad Dourif is playing Father Karras this time around, so it would be evidently be left out of the theatrical cut. But, in showing Karras having brain activity right after his death, it would spoil the Kinderman's (and the audience's) shock of seeing the body of Karras in the cell. The audience would know beforehand that there was something fishy regarding his death, and some would even be confused - the explanation of Karras' body being used only comes in the second Gemini monologue, so I guess some people would not understand right from the start that who we're seeing in the cell is James Venamun, not Damien Karras. If that's the case, the prologue was justifiably left out the Director's Cut.

No, it's the final photo in the scroll-down. I thought I had fixed it so it would appear when the link was accessed. I didn't - sorry.

For anybody - just scroll down to the last photo.
