Spoiler question about Jim in the burglary scene?

*DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS MOVIE!*

Did anyone wish Jim would have succeeded by stealing his father's money so he could use it on nice things? I personally would have rather see Jim succeed in stealing his father's money than to see Edward get busted for the burglary that was caused by Jim, I really wanted Jim to get back at his father for not being a good parent for him.

Geez, you missed the entire moral of this fable/parable/fairy tale/film.
Please read this for starters:

It may help you interpret the actual story from the correct perspective. Then rewatch the movie.

Everything unfolded as it was meant to in order to tell the tale the writer wished to tell. You weren't meant to like what happened. You weren't meant to like most of the very very flawed characters in the film. You weren't meant to like to be left with a feel-good feeling that justice was served and people made the correct choices and good thing happened to good people and bad things happened to the bad people.
You were meant to learn a lesson. You missed the message entirely.
