Dianne Wiest

Am I the only one who thought she was the best thing in the movie? She's a little annoying at times with her over-the-top niceness and perkiness, but overall I thought her character was fun.

Like many others, I think Depp is the best thing in the film. But, yeah, I've always liked Dianne's character (and performance).

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

She was the epitome of kindness. A lot of good casting in this movie.

She's the quintessential (stereotypical) Avon lady.

I laugh every time I hear her line: "Darn this stuff!" haha

"I must express myself." - Delia Deetz

I also laugh at that line. Diane has always given an incredible performance in whatever she is in. This just happened to be a campy role and she ate it up.

She plays a great mom.

One of my English teachers reminded me a lot of her character in this film. She had such a perky voice, and would always seem to try and be so cheerful.

"Thanks, guys." "So long, partner."

This was the very first role that I ever saw her in when I was a kid. And I honestly thought she was the kindest, most generous, most charitable person that I had ever seen portrayed in a movie... Saint Peg.
