Did Joice feel guilt?
She looks apprehensive in that last scene. I like to think she was feeling guilty for her part in edward's "death".
shareI'd say she did. She knew better than most of the neighbors that Edwards fall from grace was at least partially fabricated. They wanted him to be a villain, but she knew really that he wasn't.

I have to say, I sometimes wonder whether people who deliberately go about hurting others ever can feel truly guilty.
I suppose it's simply because, if they lacked the thoughtfulness in the first place......well, it's a little hard to consider that there would suddenly be a conscience.
