Jim was too stupid to live. You don't attack a guy whose fingers are 10 knife blades and expect to live. He could have cut Jim's feet off when he was lying on the ground. It was a good death. I enjoyed his impaling.

I also didn't think there was no need to turn Jim into a monster towards Edward and Kim, I personally thought they should have Jim move on from his break up with Kim and for him to get back on good terms with his father.

Deserved? So richly deserved. One of the reasons why I so love this sweet movie.
