I just love this movie.
I haven't seen this movie for awhile and forgot how much I loved it. It's sweet, sad, and funny at times. Alan Arkin's dry sense of humor is the best. Tim Burton really knew how to make movies back then.

shareI recently watched this movie for the first time in over twenty years, which I found it to just be ok. It certainly wasn't my favorite Tim Burton movie, not when compared to Batman, Beetlejuice, and Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.
But after this recent rewatch, Wow. This movie is amazing. I honestly can't believe how much I loved it. From the opening music to the heart breaking finale, this may be the perfect Tim Burton movie.
I honestly can't wait to see it again.
Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.
I've loved this movie for years. I try to make a point of watching it once a year because every time I do, I notice something different. It's definitely Tim Burton's best work by far. I wish all of his films were more like this one but then I suppose it wouldn't be as unique anymore.
