I love Darkman, and also like Neeson.

But...What was the deal with his performance in this film?

The way he plays most scenes is just awful. His voice sounds dubbed too. Very strange.

He wasn't a great actor back then. He wasn't bad, per se, but just serviceable.

And which voice? Before the accident, or in the bandages, or when wearing a mask? He had three 'voices' in the film.

Some of his scenes were dubbed over by Bruce Campbell.

I don't see anything wrong with this performance, particularly for this type of movie.

I think he was excellent and him getting cast is nobody's loss. I really can't picture Campbell doing what Neeson did.

Think its just the style of the movie. Its a very comic book/old fashioned Hollywood type movie.
