OK, I agree it is a BIT pathetic, but it has also got style, funny scenes and it is a fine, rather enjoyable movie.
It should get 6,5/10.

I like the movie a lot. It's not perfect like Chinatown. But I like it better than Crash.

I have yet to read the book, but thought the film was great.

I'd give it 7.5/10.

The movie is putrid. (I read the book first, so I don't know how I'd react if I hadn't.)
