Book Ending?

***SPOILERS***

I haven't read the book, but I felt that the film left some loose ends. Notably what happened to Mrs. Ruskin, and did the boy ever get out of the coma?

In the film, I guess Mrs. Ruskin had been granted immunity, and so nothing happened. Is that the same in the book?

Thanks in advance.

1st off - read the book. It's REALLY good.

In the book the case is dropped and Mrs. Ruskin is set free as well. But it follows up a year later as a piece in the NY Times. Sherman is broke... there have been continual lawsuits. The Lamb kid dies and Sherman is convicted of manslaughter and is brought back to trail. He has no lawyer, no money. Fallow is rich though. Killian supports him but doesn't represent him without money/

Also Sherman McCoy is mentioned as lifting a fist in their air to his wife during a trial. The same way the black panthers would. It kind of gives the impression that McCoy is taking to his new role as being a professional defendent and isn't going down as easily as people thought. Being tossed in this arena seems to have given him a new lease on life. He also seems to have a good relationship with his wife again.

Well she also was proven to have perjured herself on the stand. In the movie realm I would think she would be tried for manslaughter.
