LaPaglia Stole the Show . . .

Anthony LaPaglia stole the entire show with his character.

He gained my respect as him being a serious actor while watching this movie years ago.

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing him portray his Italian character, with all the mannerisms.

Watch how he precisely gestures with his hands while he talks. While he eats with Alda and talks to Sheedy's character. It's a true joy to watch him pull it off so naturally.

And he nailed the accent perfectly. Just as he does in his current show, "Without a Trace" which I love to watch JUST BECAUSE he's in it!

I agree....

Oh, yeah! "I know some girls who are real cannolis, " lol!

He is so adorable in this. I can't even believe that is him. Now I can see why Poppy had an affair with him on Without a Trace.

I never understood that...he is such a stuffed shirt on that show. But if this were his side "bedroom" personality then OK. Plus he was really cute back then.

Well he is Italian so the Italian gestures after probably things he grew up with except for the American NY accent.

He is of Italian descent, but he's actually Australian. Says he fought hard to suppress his Aussie accent like John Mahoney did his English accent.
