Seriously underrated classic!

I only saw this 2 years ago and was blown away by how engrossing it was! I love films set in late 80s/early 90s Los Angeles. Everything about this film was cool...the fashions, the music, how the story unfolded between Alex and Michael...everything! This film deserves a much much higher rating than it currently holds. Both Lowe and Spader give unforgettable performances. Bravo to Curtis Hanson, my only minor quibble is the ending but it really didn't take away much from the movie as a whole.

I totally love this film. I never get tired of watching it. I particularly love the decadence of the underground club scenes. Such as the club where Nymphs were performing, and especially the one with Gay White Male secret code. We don't have anything like that in Oz. Except maybe the Chinese Laundry.
So even though I'll probably never make it to LA, does anyone know the name of these clubs??,
The soundtrack which I have a cd of really rocks. All that great sax mystic esp near the end where Alex is shagging the two women.

26 years on and it is more suspenseful and much better than I remember.
