In Part II he has a pink hoverboard

In Part III he wears pink clothes

Part I: It was purple underwear

Part II: He was in a panic and grabbed the first mobile device he could reach. It just happened to be a girls hoverboard.

Part III: He didn't pick them. Doc did, and he hated them.
