Elaine totally out of character...
There's one scene in the episode where Elaine doesn't know the ethnicity of her boyfriend that always bothered me, wondering if anyone else felt the same way.
It's right near the end when Elaine and the bf go into Monks and the waitress (who is black) says something like "I can't wait to get off my shift"
Elaine: "I hear yah sister."
Waitress: "Sister?"
Elaine: "Oh, it's okay, by boyfriend's black."
Me: ?!?!
Who would say that?!
To me that line is so out of character. Not only can't I imagine anyone saying this in real life, its particularly weird/jarring when you consider ten minutes ago in the episode the four main characters (including Elaine) felt uncomfortable even DISCUSSING another person's ethnicity ("Should we be talking about this? I don't think we should be talking about this.")
It just seemed like a really forced way to finally reveal the boyfriend's true ethnicity.
Thoughts?
