Jumped the shark around the 7th season

Yes. That is correct.

"Ass masters 3 was not the final chapter!!! They left too many loose Ends!!!!" - Charlie Harper

reply

That's cooky talk, the show never jumped the shark.

reply

The term "jump the shark" has jumped the shark.

reply

You're just upset you weren't around to see Fonzy jump the shark.

"You gotta punch the clock, why don't you punch your boss?"

reply

I was supposed to be the star of the show.

reply

But they had you take a long jump off a short shark.

They were pretty rough, but they had something.
What was it?
I think it was the trousers.

reply

Damn you, Henry Winkler!

reply

Was that your catch phrase, Chuck? I can see why they let you go.

reply

Fonz was the winner. Chuck was the LOSER. To the VICTOR go the spoils.

"I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this."

reply

The seventh season then attached itself to the shark and ate all the laughs!

reply

I don't know how a shark could eat laughs..

reply

it didnt because there are actually alot of great episodes in the last 3 seasons.

reply

They never jumped the shark. The entire time they could see right into the eye of the great mammal!

reply

Fish

"You gotta punch the clock, why don't you punch your boss?"

reply

Whatever.

This is probably the only show that has this many seasons that never jumped the shark, and where the quality never actually noticably declined.

Some seasons are not as good as others, and there are lots of cringy, clunky episodes, but as a whole, 'jumping the shark' never happened. The 'wackiest' thing I can think of, is the 'Indian Wedding' episode, the name of which I can't remember right now. Not only is it played backwards, but the story is very un-Seinfeld-ish. WEDDING in Seinfeld? Come on! The only comedy show without 'forced sappy moments' or 'forced, injected romance crap'.

reply

There were no sappy or romantic moments in that episode. The wedding was just a backdrop to Elaine’s plot.

reply

It jumped the shark in the final episode.

reply

The last two seasons, IMO, were noticeably less funny than the the rest but I would not go so far as to say the show ever jumped the shark, except, as the previous poster, said, in the final episode. Not a good ending to the series!

reply

once LD left (season 7) the writing just got weak.
