a movie in the works?

Some from the cast are saying a movie might be in the works soon. They are hoping fans will come up with ideas on what they would like to see in the film. I would like it to be at least an R-rated picture.

Unless they come up with an entirely new cast of characters, they'd have to use as many of the original cast who are still with us, as possible. Thus, it would have to take place many years after the TV series' episodes. Very tricky, and very hard to recapture the magic.

I'd like to see perhaps a story having to do with environmental issues important to Alaska now, and our characters playing parts in that. I wonder whether Dr. Fleischman would still be living there (have only watched the first season lately, and don't remember how everything was left at the series' too early end). If not, he could be back, visiting, or doing a work stint there, during his break. It's a shame Janine Turner has developed into such a raring, conservative Republican, as she might not be willing to take part in a movie with an anti-drilling, anti-fracking, pro-renewables, save-the-planet message.

Multiplex: 100+ shows a day, NONE worth watching. John Sayles' latest: NO distribution. SAD.

Well, despite her dalliance with Alec Baldwin way back when, I think Turner has always been a conservative, which of course is ironic as her Mary-Margaret was a flaming-liberal do-gooder on the show.

What is interesting is that Rob Morrow just played Hank Reardon in the third installment of Atlas Shrugged (which I haven't seen yet), and is now the third actor to play the role as that unfortunate "franchise" has had three complete and separate casts in as many movies. So, I don't know if he a) needed the money, b) saw the role as a challenge, or 3) has been, or has become, an Ayn Rand devotee.

It would be hilarious if Barry Corbin turns out to be a secret Molly Ivins-styled Texas liberal.

It wouldn't surprise me though if in the end, Maggie did turn into a conservative republican. A lot of people change completely when they get older. Hippies turned into yuppies. It's not so weird to me. Although it might make a depressing movie!

It's not so bad as long as you can keep the fear from your mind.

Source? Who in the cast? Not seeing anything even in the last few years in a web search. A garden-variety unfounded 'net allegation otherwise. Odds of an NX movie happening? As likely as spotting Sasquatch in Rosalyn, Washington--and, no, that's not Adam you're seeing.
