Law & Order reboot looks like it's struggling because it's trying not to be out of touch

This week's Elizabeth Holmes-meets-#MeToo episode was particularly cringeworthy, says Dustin Rowles. "Please, will someone hire anyone under the age of 55 for this writers’ room? It’s like if Aaron Sorkin had to write a procedural after being hit in the head," he says, adding: "An out-of-touch Law & Order worked fine when the rest of the world was out of touch. It’s struggling now, because it doesn’t want to be out of touch, but it hasn’t figured out how not to be yet."

am trying to give the show a chance to change to real time, pretending no cell phones or ipads bad idea

Please keep whatever writers are over the age of fifty-five. The last thing that is needed is a show that is "in touch".

The only problem with that is, all writers under that age seem to not have any imagination, or are unable to come up with something original.
