Alex killed?

In the final episode of season 16 Alex is killed! Why????????? Did her contract run out or?

I have the feeling her "Q" rating was bad. That ws a pretty tough way to go out I bet she felt terrible about it.

I think she was only there a season. My guess is she wasn't happy or they weren't with her?

A terrible end as I remember it!
