The Flash on Sky One

I'm from the UK, and I was one of the first kids in my street to talk my parents into getting Sky TV (1990 ish). I remember that there was only three decent shows on Sky One at the time - COPS, Simpsons, and THE FLASH!!! I thought it was awesome (mind you I was 13 back then, I don't know if I'd still admire it as much at the age of 30!). It was a bit like (dare I say it) Batman Forever - colourful, over the top and silly. Flash does the hard work so you don't have to!

Sky One was also the only Channel in the UK ever to show Wiseguy. It was a lonely experience talking about shows like The Flash, Wiseguy, China Beach, Werewolf etc, to other people who hadn't (and thanks to UK terrestrial tv, still haven't) seen them. Still happening today, Firefly, The Wire, Brotherhood: none of them ever likely to show up on normal tv.
