Props? Puppets
I'm a serious collector and I'm looking for props. Specifically a stop motion puppet of the Flash running. I know one was made for the show and I am trying to figure out who would have it!
Will pay top dollar!
Help!

I dont think there was a stop motion puppet made for the series? From the "making of" show it was indicated that they filmed the actor (sometimes several in the suit for the super speed after image battles.)
The fate of the costumes? Dont know. There had to be at least three suits though.
They built at least 2 suits per episode. Being made of foam rubber latex, they rotted very quickly due to sweat. Also, they tore rather easily (you can see a rip on his side under his left arm in an early episode in a Star Labs scene). I used to have one but it has since crumbled and disintegrated over the years.
Thats also part of why the show didn't last long. a good portion of the budget went into making the flash suits, which cost about $40,000 each to produce.
There were a couple stop motion puppets built for some distance shots they they simply couldn't do with the actor. I forget what episode it was used in.
In any case, the puppet would look nice in a shadowbox in my living room!
Do you think maybe one of the visual effects guys would have it?
Interesting. Didnt know about the puppet or the short life span of the suits.
Assuming it wasnt destroyed or allready snapped up by a collector... Its either in a warehouse, in someones closet/on a shelf shelf, or was sent to one of the DC comics people.
My friend actually owns this, or atleast one of the puppets they used. It's on his shelf in his living room, really still in good condition, really neat little item. I've seen it myself, quite a cool little piece of TV history.
I don't know if he's willing to sell it though.
"Eh, never know what to expect, just sit back and enjoy the show."
Who is this child? I must have it for myself!
Seriously though, if I didn't think you were full of crap, I would ask for his address.
SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY PLEASE!
Thanks
I am being serious, i've seen it myself and it's the genuine article.
But if you wanna be a douche about it, then i won't mention it to my friend.
