The best live-action superhero series ever made.....
That's just my opinion of course, but anyone else here who agrees or disagrees?
Slobberknocker!

I totally agree, the special effects and stories were fantastic. Can't believe it never lasted longer.

I don't know, I enjoyed both Lois & Clark and Birds of Prey.
shareI liked Birds of Prey for what it was, but it was a poor translation of the comics. Dina Meyer made a great Oracle, however. Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman was a great show, until the "Frog-eating Lois clone" storyline. I would have rather the "New Krypton" storyline had more episodes and they cut out that clone storyline. Haven't seen The Flash yet, but from everything I've heard it sounds like it was a great show. I agree that it should have lasted longer.
shareThe Flash is VERY similar to Lois & Clark, without most of the romance. You'll like it.
shareThe Flash was the best series for a Super-Hero. Superboy, even though good and enjoyable, was ok at best when comparing it with others. Than Lois and Clark, very interesting show but I thought too much romance was its flaw, first 2 seasons were pretty good than it sort of went down hill after that. Mainly because I didn't find too much focus on their romantic life that interesting at all, it was less and less Superman and more Soap Opera (a bit too much).
Flash however provided little bit of everything, nice collection of villains from Comic altered just enough to fit into the world of Tv-Series Flash, romantic tension between Barry and McGee at times, and well balanced stories with enough focus on the situation other than the romantic life of its main characters, unlike Lois and Clark (again too much focus on romance). I was so fed up of Superman saving Lois all those times, many times I would wish Superman would just let Lois fall to her death. At least Tina didn't get in trouble as much to make it tiresome, even though she aided Barry just like Lois aided Clark in ways.

The show was called Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, so right there it should have told you the show was going to focus more on Lois and Clark than it was on Superman. They wanted to make the show more about the love story between the two ace reporters than about the superhero. The series was partly based on the current wave of Superman comics where Clark Kent is the dominant personality and Superman is the "disguise" so to speak. I do agree with you, however, that the show went downhill after Season 2.

They screwed themselves by makeing a retarded Hybrid of Barry and Wally rather then just chooseing one.

The Story-lines where from Wally Comics, so they jsut didn't work to be wiht it being a shallow Barry.
Similar to what the CW's doing to One Tree Hill right now, but One Tree Hill is a great show and have survived regardless for 6 years now.

but they didn't go with Barry, they tried to both an instead failed to do either.

Wally is a very different character, Killing Barry off was ingenious,, and for 20 years it was the one major character Death DC had the balls not to ever cop out of, but then they ruined it.

I was upset they whiped her out of Continuity all together, completely disrespecting all her Fans, Barry's Death remained done of the most Iconic moments in DC History.

Grant & Jared, so how do you feel about the 'resurrection' of Barry Allen, in DC? So much for iconic deaths--eh? Hal Jordan is already back.
Personally, although Barry was my favorite character, when growing up, wish they hadn't. I think Wally has become a far more fully fleshed-out character, than Barry ever was. I wish they'd left well enough alone.
As far as the TV show was--I agree that it's the best of its genre. Starting the series, with the lead being a police scientist(Barry), was easier than starting it, w/the lead being a sidekick(Wally) of an established hero. I liked the fact that they called his older brother 'Jay'.
A great amalgam of characters & periods, too.

I agree, great show, I wish it had lasted longer, but it probably cost to much per episode. Never read the comics so I don't have an issue with how he is portrayed and invented so to speak, as long as it feels like The Flash to me I'm happy.
I've never watched some other shows like Lois and Clark or Birds of Prey or Heroes, saw one episode(Lois and Clark) and I couldn't do it, to much of a soap opera feel to it. Though I do really like Smallville, have 8 seasons on DVD so far.
The Incredible Hulk was a good show I thought, having Lou Ferrigno playing The Hulk was great. I remember Wonder Woman and that wasn't a too bad show, as was Batman(good but campy) and the Green Hornet(another one seasoner).
The Flash was the best, I agree.
I also agree with the Incredible Hulk and the made for tv-movies that wrapped it up. Truly brilliant.
Wonder Woman is decent. I have all 3 seasons on dvd. Holds up pretty well.
As far as Superman goes, The Adventures of Superman, despite having a low budget is great. Superboy was OK. Lois & Clark: the New Adventures of Superman, and Smallville are both crappy shows that got better as they went on but that's not saying much.
Batman was good and campy (season 1) until it became bad and campy (season 3).
The Green Hornet is AWESOME!!! ONE of the BEST!!!
The 6 Million $ Man was very good when done right.
I love the Flash series, but I was also a big fan of the original Black & White Superman, which is used to watch on Nick at Nite as a kid.
