The Rogues
If the show had gone on to a second season, who would you have liked to have seen play the Rogues? I would've liked to see Paul Hogan play Captain Boomerang and I think Miguel Ferrer would've been amazing as Weather Wizard.

shareJames Earl Jones or David McSharan (voice of the Shredder in the TMNT movies) could be the voice of Gorilla Grodd. They could just get a robot or something for the body of Grodd.
shareAll of those ideas would have been cool if it had gone to another season. What I do not understand is how did it get those awards if it lasted for one season? I never could understand that at all to be honest with you.

James Earl Jones would have been perfect but I would have wanted to actually see him. Gorilla could have just been a nickname because he's a big guy.
If you see a message from me, read my biography first before making a post. Thanks!
True about that, but the fans of the comic book did not give the TV show a chance to build up to a lot of the villians used in the comic book. They had a few of them appear on the show. The problem was that it was too late though and the show was canceled.

The fans gave it a chance; they were the ones watching. The network didn't give it a chance, with the timeslot changes and the lack of marketing. DC did more to market the show than Warner or CBS.
I would have liked to have seen a parallel world crossover with Jay Garrick and some of the Golden Age villains, like the Shade, Fiddler, or Somon Grundy (though he was a Green Lantern villain). Grodd and Heatwave would have been welcome, and Mr Element/Alchemist could have been interesting (the split personality). I could see that one working as a tv science show presenter, Mr. Element, who develops another personality (naturally or via accident) and commits crimes as the Alchemist. A good hook would be making him a friend and colleague of Barry. Captain Boomerang could be interesting, though I don't know about Paul Hogan. The Top would be hard to pull off,FX-wise, though he made for one of the more interesting Rogue's due to his terminal condition and legacy, which forced the Rogues to work together to find the bombs he left behind (it was a 1970s story). Vandal Savage would have been interesting.
I would have like to see the Rogues teaming up and have that be a major season event, like the comic stories were. The concept of their being rivals and colleagues (and drinking buddies) always made them more than just average gimmick villains. Bilson and Dimeo said they were wanting to do a Rogues team-up in the second season.
Crossovers with some of the non-Trinity heroes would have been good, especially Green Lantern and Elongated Man, since they had closer bonds in the comics, though GL would have likely have been shopped around as its own property, though Ralph would have probably been available. THE FX were available, but expensive, which is a lot of what got the series cancelled, moreso than the ratings (they probably would have survived with the ratings, at least for a renewal, if the show wasn't so expensive).
"Fortunately, Ah keep mah feathers numbered for just such an emergency!"
I agree that CBS did not do much to help the show out at all. The thing is that I have noticed throughout the years of watching TV that it is a sign when a TV network bounces a show from different time slots to another one it is to get rid of the show so that it cannot remain popular. That is a theory there of mine. Sometimes moving to different time slots creates problems when you have another program that you love to watch instead.
All of those elements that you mentioned might have been interesting to watch to be honest with you and yes it was expensive because I remember when Warner Brothers paid for the Batman suit and how expensive it was. They even talked about how expensive it was for The Flash TV show.
