dvds no longer work :(

decided to dust off my Flash dvds this evening only to find that none are working :(. I've had that happen quite a bit lately but I'm not sure why. Maybe dust or something. Anyways, I had to go to amazon and buy the season on instant streaming. Oh, well. It's only about 40 bucks. I still can't believe netflix hasn't put this up there yet, but knowing my luck, it will be added tomorrow after I just dropped $40.

Have you checked your DVD player? Perhaps the device itself is not working. It happened to me once, with my Superman DVD colecction (the tin boxed set) I had the same issue you've mentioned above but in my new BluRay player the problem ceased. ;-)

However, I think "The Flash" TV series needs to be released in BR format. I don't understand with such great show has been so mistreated by Warner Bros. Some time ago I bought a CD album released by the celebration of 75 years of DC comics, featuring opening themes and songs from almost every show released about their iconic characters... but Danny Elfman's theme from The Flash wasn't included! (I was lucky enough to pick the limited edition of the soundtrack at Amazon) And they neither did it in the doccumentary "Secret Origins: The Story of DC Comics" (2010), with not a single frame nor even a quote dedicated to this series in the whole program. :/

The player works fine. It's actually brand new and works with most of my other dvds/blurays. somehow the discs themselves got damaged. I only tried 2 of them from the set so some of them may still work. That sucks about not including the Danny Elfman theme. That's pretty weird. His name was synonymous with the Batman franchise for a while and The Flash had to have been received well enough to get a full season order.

if it makes you feel worse about your luck; Wal Mart (and possibly Target) have had a new DVD Print (in a more modern Case, rather than the Lois and Clark style that the original release used) on sale for like $10 for much of 2012-13

Honest to God, VHS is better than DVD in the long run. I taped these off TV and can still watch it today.
