they cast a woman that's like 12 years older than she's supposed to be in the show. she looks even older than that though. it's almost gross to watch her play a high schooler. at the start of the season she still looked kinda young but by the middle she looked way too old. it ruined the show for me seeing someone who was clearly in their 30s stand next to these teen looking actors and actresses. shannon doherty was actually only 19 too.

Gabrielle Carteris looks much younger than her actual age. When the show was first running most people thought she was actually younger than the rest of the cast.

People harping on Gabrielle's age don't get into Ian's age (he was the next oldest) or the fact that in real life, James Eckhouse was too young to have teenagers.
