Is Jim Walsh the most pathetic character in TV history?

I'm really starting to think ao.

You need to cite examples of why you think this before it can be debated.

He was pretty terrible to Dylan early on. I'd say he basically ruined the relationship of Dylan and Brenda. I mean, ruin the happiness of your own daughter? For what?

The "most pathetic" character is an exaggeration. Actually, he's a really great character sometimes, but his flaws can make him quite unlikeable.

reply

No, I think Gina Kincaid was a lot more pathetic. She stayed with Dylan no matter how badly he treated her. He clearly didn't care about her or her feelings and she stayed. Even when she had a chance for a better relationship, she stayed with Dylan.

reply

She was very, er.... menacing.

reply

She was too stupid to even do her wrong doings right.

reply

For some reason I wasn't notified about your response? Anyways,

She was a horribly written character and just annoying. I don't think she contributed much to the show, other than to be an antagonist, even though she was supposed to be a main character that was part of the line up? It was often just very confusing if we were supposed to root for her or not (I certainly didn't.) She was given way too much screen time (she shouldn't have been added at all.)

Jim let Brandon get away with so much. Meanwhile, Brenda who is the same age is talked down to constantly.

reply

Yes.

He was way too overprotective of Brenda, and there were some obvious double standards, that said, he was extremely helpful to Dylan when his Dad as well as others were trying to take his inheritance.

reply

I'd say Dylan was pretty pathetic too. Poor-rich-boy with millions. All he could do was drugs.
