Kelly; good or bad friend to Brenda?
I could tell that she really did care for Brenda but, going after Dylan when Brenda was in Paris was so wrong. On the fence as to whether or not she was a good friend to her. Thoughts?

shareTheir friendship only began bc she did not want a fat girl sitting next to her in class actually. Kelly wasn't thinking if that girl had anything they could bond over (like similar income level, similar problems with parents)
Yes Kelly did take brenda to a gynecologist when she thought she was pregnant--she did not have to go to a 'free clinic' which is where Andrea probably would have sent her. But Kelly really did not know how to be a mutual friend until much later and when Brenda left.
I think they had a cute friendship in season 1 and season 2 but during season 3, their friendship sort of tapered off. Season 4, their friendship was just so so.
shareI don't know if I'd call it cute. More like shaky/ It reminded me of a friend I had in elementary school who I met when my family moved into the neighborhood. She was on the street across from me and seemed nice if more 'worldly' since she had already lived overseas in 3rd grade. I had only lived in other states!! We loved Madonna, Jem and the Holograms. and having sleepovers at each others houses.
Well, we were doing fine until she stole from my room one day when we were at my house playing. I walked in on her when I returned from the bathroom and caught her helping herself. Yes we were in 5th grade so the items were junk jewelry. And it would have actually cost more to file a report of any kind. But it was still the principle of the thing. I did not go messing around in her things at her house. Funny thing was she did not feel 'bad' about this either.
I saw her in the hallways during jr high and high school-she pretended she did not know me. We hung out with different crowds and different paths. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened without that incident. Did it happen for a reason?
Kids don't always think rationally. I would have asked her why she took the jewelry. It's sad when she pretended like she did not know you when she you saw her in jr high and high school. It's always sad when people enter our lives and then they are not a part of it anymore. :(
shareI had a "friend" steal from me once too. This was after I had given her a bunch of stuff. Her family was "poor" and couldn't afford a lot, and I felt bad for her. She asked for one item that I told her "no" because it had been a gift. After she left my house it was gone. I felt I could never trust her again after that. To do that to someone who helped you.
shareThat’s not okay. Sorry that happened to you.
shareShe should have never stolen from you.
