Archie, Betty and Veronica. On a side note, needless to say, Luke Perry played Archie's dad on the show "Riverdale".

shareBrenda and Dylan were soulmates. Kelly was the 'distraction'. The writers even flipped around their history. In the very first season--she does not know Dylan. But in Season 3, she apparently was in the same elementary school class with him??

Also, Brenda and Dylan fought because Brenda was all about college, and Dylan didn't care about it (well, there was the "Reek" thing too). Kelly sided with Dylan.
Then, suddenly, Kelly was all for college and Brenda didn't care.
I assume the writers (at least some of them) were changed out.....it just feels like a different series in the 4th season. Also probably throwing stuff into the mix was now some of the cast had to really research what to do---if they had never actually attended/graduated from college. Playing a high school student (give take a couple of years) had perhaps been more or less the same to when they were actually in school.
shareI forgot to say about your first reply - Also, Kelly had a "major crush" on Dylan since third grade, according to the storyline. The writers were never really any good with continuity. Like when Dylan attended AA in the beginning of the series, then a few years later "never had a problem with alcohol, only drugs".
I can understand if some of the cast never went to college, but I am sure the writers did. They should have had some idea what college was like.
