Short Term Character You Wish Would've Stayed On Longer?

Which character that was short-term do you think should've been on the show longer? I'll start by giving my Top 2;

1.) Scott.(David's best friend.)

2.) Joe Bradley.

Who are your picks? Discuss....

Henry Thomas, Brandon's boss at the beach club. He could have taught recreation management at CU in the offseason or managed the After Dark.

Colin, because he was the best for Kelly.

reply

Colin, because he was the best for Kelly

lol...that's an indictment, isn't it?

reply

Colin was best for Kelly because every girl hopes at some point in her life to find a guy who is nice enough to get her addicted to coke.

reply

Henry would have been good to transition to CU era and beyond. Possible the actor playing him did not want to continue and they could not find a suitable replacement. Shame, he was less of a 'father' boss. They should have sold Peach Pit to him.

reply

I thought Joe was a snooze and they would have had to change Scott's character A LOT to fit in with the gang.

My picks would be Celeste, Susan, D'Shawn.

reply

D'Shawn--should have married Donna

reply

for real. steve could have been his agent when he made the nba. as he would get over that injury....unless bran the man choose some hack doctor that permanently took him out of action..ξ€Ύ

The food I've liked in my time is American country cookin'-Colonel Sanders πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

reply

I would've loved that

reply

Changing Scott around would have been interesting

And Donna getting down with D'Shawn would have pissed her mother off FOR SURE!!!

reply

Irony was that D'Shawn was the upright moral one---when on earth did David ever bring anybody flowers???

reply

d'shawn was upright...until that knee 'injury' (no doubt a bran the man hit ξ€Ύ).

Rick

They just refused to let Brenda move on from Dylan and Rick was mature and cared about her. Would have been nice to see Brenda in the relationship and Dylan/Kelly dealing with the fact that Bren just didn't care about them.

reply

Agreed. I liked Reek.

My 2 favorite minor characters will always be Susan and Ray.

I agree with this.

I also wish we saw more of Kyle Connors but maybe they weren't ready for a long term gay character yet.

Kyle was cool. He would have been a good one.

Remember when Brenda locked keys in the car Rick blew up and got really mad. Big red flag. Whereas when she forgot her passport, Dylan did not blow up at her in the holding room.

Dylan was far more mature with Brenda.

reply

Brenda locked the keys in the car with Stuart, not Rick.

reply

'Better' Ray.

D'Shawn should have ended up with Donna -- perhaps have him come to her aid when she was tossed/trippedonherwhoreshoes down the stairs that time.

Val's mother's fiancΓ©.

Bobby --- rollerpeg cousin bobby.

Tara -- the entire story arc was over too single white female quickly.

Oh God. Fortune vomits on my eiderdown once more.

I hate watching Tara talk. Everyone keeps talking about Joan having a stroke victim face but Tara's face is the epitome of a stroke victim. Why does she talk out of one side of her mouth? She looks like Angelica Pickles.

reply

Evan Potter: This lunatic was comedy gold. I could listen to his tourettes like outbursts all day.

Tara Marks: Another nutjob who was so unbelievably bad it made her unbelievably brilliant. I would love to see her couple up with Evan and take a Natural Born Killers style ride through 90210 land.

Patrick Finley: Because he's Patrick Finely. And he's fcking awesome. And he deserved his own spin off show.

Dylan's sister Erica---they don't make her a hooker and Dylan permanently became her guardian. Mr. Wild teenager gets to raise an adolescent.

Funny (actually this time) episode potential when he comes home and finds Erica making out on the couch with a guy....being the protective big brother, Dylan FLIPS more than Jimbo ever did.

reply

Yeah I hated that they had Dylan go rescue her just to completely forget about her after that.

reply

it would have been perfect to see Dylan brood about raising her without being depressing.

reply

amanda peyser...so she could date john sears. they would have epic drunken shouting matches! broken champagne flutes! 

Ha. Good one!

reply

finley could have helped the entire gang evolve.

Could you IMAGINE D'Shawn taking Ray out after he tossed Donna down the stairs? Ray would have been F'ed up. D'Shawn was the man!

reply

that would have merited an instant replay....and the fans would have gone wild he-he.

reply

Danny Five should have stuck around. I just saw the one where Colin skipped out on reporting to jail or whatever, he and Danny Five pulled some switcheroo at the crappy motel and as the cops were dragging D5 away he shouted that his name was "Danny Fiveinski". Classic.

reply

Rick and Celeste.

reply

Susan - Probably the best of Season 6 newbies. Would've been better to extend her relationship another year with Brandon rather than bring in Tracey, who was a total bore.

D'Shawn Hardell - After all, he was practically the only friend Donna made freshman year.

Leslie Sumner (Schulman) - Her and Brando would've made a good power couple.

John Sears - Him and Valerie scheming togther? Would've been pure gold!

reply

Steve's grandfather

I loved their scenes together in the Christmas episode of season two and liked the fact that Steve suggested that they visit each other. I was disappointed that he never appeared again but I guess they could have kept contact with each other offscreen.

reply

Curtis and his mom--Brandon gets her a job at the peach pit as staff when he and his mom are homeless but we never meet/hear from her or Curtis even. Curtis should have been in the next generation. he would have been a good add on for later seasons, new series etc

Robbinson Ashe and his sister Sherrice. A really obvious backdoor spin off attempt was done with "Ashes to Ashes" where Robbinson Ashe III's name is dropped constantly throughout the episode---to make sure viewers don't forget it during the first couple minutes of seeing him. Of course then after that single episode, we never see him or his family ever again even though he's allegedly the Blaze's photographer, nextdoor neighbors with the Walshes, and his mom is Mrs. Walsh's only friend who lives down the street. Iris McKay lives in Hawaii and she doesn't really click with Jackie Taylor, Samantha Sanders, or Felice Martin--whom we see far more of actually lol Either Robbinson Ashe III or Sherrice and their respective spouses also would have been far more credible on the next generation 90210--than inventing a 'brand new' Black family with no historical connection to the series.

Jack the homeless vet who reunites with his family after using a phone at the Walsh house. Yes it's a stretch but after he's cleaned up and straightened out he looked fairly handsome. He could have ended up working at the community center to help people also experiencing a problem. Having been in trouble himself, nothing fazes him.
