Since when is it funny to see kids get hurt?

Is it me or is this show getting more sadistic? I don't watch it very often but lately if I tune in I always see a video of some baby getting a ball in the face or falling off a trampoline. Who laughs at that? It's sick.

If they didn't get hurt, then I don't have a problem. The problem I have is that much of the videos on here wasn't even funny at all. There was this one where there was this kid crying on the toilet. Um, funny how?

What's most insulting to humour is that not only it was a nominee, but it won. Why? Wasn't it suppose to be funny or amazing? And there are several videos where that were actually funny that were nominated, but they either got second or third place, while the least funny or totally unfunny won first place.

You know that the blind loses their sense of sight, the deaf loses their sense of hearing, the lousiest videos are being nominated by those who have lost their sense of humour.

One of the winners last night was a kid with the stomach flu on the toilet crying. Worse of all the mother was taping it & laughing. This is ballon boy stuff !! This show stopped being amusing after the 2nd or 3rd year, I thought it was canned years ago & just happend to be flicking theu the channels to see what was on .

theres one video they show all the time where a boy and his mother (i think its his mother) are on some type of roller coaster type ride (i think the one that shoots straight up) and the kid slips out of the seat and is hanging on by the strap catching his neck and chin. the kid is rightfully terrified, and it shows clips of people in the audience practically falling to the ground in laughter. .

Yeah thats right, its apparently so funny that the kid might fall completely from the seat and fall 40 feet to the ground. . it even warrants replays every time they do a roller coaster segment.

Agreed. We hadn't watched in a long time, and tuned in a couple of weeks ago. Much of what was shown was in bad taste. Gave it another chance... no go.
It doesn't matter if a child isn't hurt.

We won't watch again.

no thanks!

Hate seeing kids (or anyone else) get hurt. I saw several amusement park mishap ones that gave me a heart attack. I saw a mishap in person where a kid was getting off of ride but the ride was still moving and his leg got caught in one of the bars. Thank god he only lost a shoe and got scraped up a bit, but between his mother freaking out and the kid crying, i almost threw up. It was horrible.

I also saw an old man do a front roll on the floor and as he came down he kicked his grandaughter right in the face - and quite hard!

I like funny kid videos, not sadistic ones

Screw you guys, people getting hurt is hilarious (as long as they don't die or get permamently injured of course.)

reply

Agreed^
These people need to chill the hell out

One video I saw (I'm sure there are dozens of these) featured a boy child riding a bicycle and falling on to the bar on the bike hurting his groin. He was in so much agony and the producers wanted me to laugh? I want to shoot everyone involved with this crap. I want to shoot all of them in the knee caps and laugh my lungs out.

Well, it depends on the kid, don't it.

There is a few around here it would be really funny to see dropped into a log chipper . . . .

It's not sadistic unless you get off on kids getting hurt, and that's got a tad bit of pedophelia thrown in in that case. It's just plain cruelty IMHO.

reply

Do you have any idea what pedophilia is? Obviously not. It's certainly not something you throw around so irresponsibly.

reply

What? How would having a sadistically perverted view of seeing kids getting hurt not be pedophelia?

reply

Look it up.

And they're not getting hurt. Are you a parent? You're wound a little tight, aren't you?

This will be the high point of my day; it's all downhill from here.

reply

Look up sadism, that was my point all along in response to the OP calling children getting hurt "sadistic". But you can misinterpret what I say as long as you like.
