i absollutly love that the men aren't wearing any make-up in this film, and the women only as much as their characters would. i think it really has a profound impact. the actors actualy look like real people, they have texture. make-up just seems like a wall between a good preformance and the audience.

gosford park is another film where i noticed this.

I didn't know about this. I'm sure there are bits where Graham looks as if he's almost blushing. So, that's actual acting?
