I watched this movie for the first time in literally 20 years, and I love it now more than I did then. There is one scene that made me laugh out load in the theater and still does.
Near the end when Andie MacDowell has just told her husband that she wants out of their marriage.
She looks him square in the eye and says, "F^^k Yooou". It sounded so funny coming out of her mouth that I just rolled off my couch.

Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with the scene at all. It totally fit her character.
I think we all know people who curse so seldom that when they are actually driven to it, the words sound so funny when they do.

I agree. I loved that scene. It was great to see her finally tell John off after putting up with his bs for so long. To me, the thing that really added to the humor of the line was her strong southern accent. The way she drew out the "F..K Yeeuuuuu". And I'm southern myself so I"m not knocking southern accents. It just gave the line an amusing quality to me for some reason.
