Weird packaging for a version of this DVD... Anyone help??

So I know that this has been released and rereleased to DVD a few times, both with the Artisan edition and the new MGM/Fox edition... But I stumbled along this film in a particularly strange package. The edition that I have is a simple paper sleeve with the original Lions Gate logo on the back. The film really doesn't have a menu screen, just a few trailers, and then it jumps into the film. Was this a giveaway at some time a few years ago or something? I can't imagine that this was actually sold in the stores. If anyone has an idea, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

Yeah it was given away as a promotion wiv one of these big pizza places,it was someone like 'pizza hut' or 'frankie and bennys' etc who were giving them away but cant remember who exactly

Um I think it was "Papa John's" but I'm not all that sure myself.

ya i got one also, pretty sure it was pizza hut. they also had one of the lethal weapons to chose from, but i had to get bernies!

It was papa johns. I remember that being one of their choices. I already had this movie so I got Drop dead fred.

in canada it was thru pizza hut and ninja turtles, and lost in space and national lampoons loaded weapon also were part of the giveaway promotion

My version is made up of four linked video files that make the film pause for a moment as it loads each one up during playback. One of the technically strangest full feature film releases I've seen.
