I love this movie, just watched it for the first time tonight. I get it, it's hilarious, .. The only thing that bothers me about the movie is that they didn't take the $100,000 in cash on Bernie's desk (along with the note about the sex change operation.) Why wouldn't you take it? At least half?
i would take it all. No one is looking for that money.
I just re-watched it over the last 3 days (during meals) having not seen it since about 1990-1992.
I've never seen the sequal. I am sure it sucks.
never mind... here is the plot outline for the sequel:
"Larry and Richard use a voodoo revived corpse to track down hidden money to clear their names."
so wsomeone is looking for the money, and yes, it sucks.
maybe they needed it as evidence. Proof that Bernie was framing them or that he was stealing form the company. all I can come up with. it bugged me a lot as a kid too
shareMy theory was, they were so entranced by his house, they sort of forgot about the money. With the party, tawny, richard's relationship with gwen, etc.
Plus all the accessories in the house. Like the Lichtenstein painting. And larry stealing bernie's rolex while playing monopoly, lol.
