Weekend at Bernie's 20th Anniversary (Still Dead After all these Years)

How's that for a tagline on a 20 year year old movie this year, what would you like to see on the 20th anniversary edition?

I would like to see a:

Director's/Actor's Commentary
Deleted Scenes or alternate scenes
Then and now featurette with the cast and crew
Location featurette on the spots in the movie
A Stunts & Pratfalls featurette on the stunts in the movie, including the guy that was Bernie's double

Then anything else that I may be missing

What do you think should be on here?

Lol thats actually a great tagline! I think all the features u mentioned would be great and obviously it would have to have the trailer on it too,and it would also be good if they include some trivia about the movie too such as the fact that bernie's house was only allowed to be built for the movie under the agreement that it had to be torn down after the movie is finished.

"When your down here with me you'll float too!!"

That was already done in Weekend At Bernie's 2. Rent or buy and enjoy!

I'll be darned, they actually did come out with a 20th anniversary edition, it looks like they released it in Australia and New Zealand:

Disappointing though, the only special features are the trailer, the TV spots and a photo gallery. kseifner's ideas are all great ones, exactly the sorta thing that a 20th anniversary edition should have!

extra: anatomy of a corpse

will the DVD appear in Europe Region 2, when?

reply

haha yeah that dvd is in the shops here in NZ, shame about the so called '20th anniversary edition' though, as it has no bonus features...

I managed to see Weekend At Bernies II and it was equally great. Tha dead one had amazing fysical comedy skills -- watch how he begins to move into a dance whenever one of those two bondeheads plays music on the radio. Good clean fun!

Oh, man - if there were a Silverman/Macarthy commentary (with Kiser would be great) and a writer/director commentary, that'd be awesome. It'd definitely be one to buy.
