And was not even mention. Considering the second one takes place a day or two after the first one at the end of first one Richard and gwen started dating I always wondered why Gwen was never mention so i guess that relationship last only 1 day..

At the end of the 1st movie, she invited Richard to stay with her for a few days until she left for school, and he intended to. At the time, she was staying with some relatives (or was it friends) in the Hampton islands. Richard intended to stay with her, but then he and Larry were called back to New York for some urgent business, what they thought would be a promotion. He probably went with the intent to return. Instead they were fired. This left him jobless, and he immediately began looking for work, so he didn't have time to go back and relax. Then he was roped into the events of the 2nd movie. Gwen was never seen or mentioned because nothing about her ever came up, but it can be assumed that she stayed with her relatives (friends?) while Richard and Larry were on their adventure.
Or, if by when she said stay with her, she meant in her apartment, and they went back to New York together, and any interaction between the two of them was just behind the scenes. Either way, Larry still dragged him off with his crazy schemes. Therefore, it ca be assumed that, during the second movie, Gwen was either still in the Hampton islands, was back in New York, or went off to school. Whatever the case, it's most probable that she and Richard still interact with each other, even if she was never seen or mentioned in the second movie. There was actually no place where the topic of her even came up.
