A goof/incorrectly regarded as goof has Richard wearing a wedding ring, but in closeups it's a signet ring...sometimes it spins around and you don't see the flat part with the usually engraved initial.

That is a good pickup. I will have to look at the film again to see if I can notice that. The whole incorrectly regarded as goofs explanation is a little far fetched.

I've watched it again and yes, it is a signet ring. Once you notice, you will see this all the time.
