Laurie Singers adversion to makeup effects.
The color choice for her hair (it washed out her skin but that's not really a detriment)
Daytime flying effect
Pros:
Casting -was great. Richard E Grant and Julian Sands were great choices.
Pacing- this was a tight script that didn't feel rushed or overly slow
Animation of the witches power. It was well animated and they did decent tracking of light in the back of the attic when he first used it
World building- the situation built was in service of the characters and plot. It worked well.
This old movie holds up well.
